germinating Texas Olive tree seeds

Hey y'all from New Orleans! I'm an avid hummingbird gardener who had successfully germinated Anachuita seeds that I purchased a few years back. The plants are now bearing seeds. I was wondering how to germinate fresh seeds. The seeds I purchased years ago were placed in medium and left on a heat mat. I don't know if I need to clean the fresh seeds or cold stratify. The plants I have are doing quite well and made it through an exceptionally cold winter. I'd love to get more going to share with other locals.

Soak the seeds in rainwater for 24 hours then plant about 1/4 " deep in a good potting soil and they should germinate in about a week. I have found that the old seeds found around the base of a tree germinate the best.
