Millettia reticulata (evergreen wisteria)

I am in need of information on growing evergreen wisteria in a sunny, but rather dry, location. I plan to transplant a climbing pinkie rose that is struggling in it's current location. Although I do water it occasionally, it does suffer from the lack of enough moisture. I thought I could plant a Milettia reticulata in its place. Any thoughts on this? This is a photo of the climbing pinkie rose that will be moved, as it is very dry, and constantly under attack by the deer. The trellis is about 5 foot wide and 7 feet tall.

Molly.
