 o
Vine ID, please

I have a small vine that is growing up through my Duranta "Sweet Memories" that I did not plant, so I have no idea what this vine is. It has very thin stems, 3 leaves at intervals and has small medium pink blooms that are similar to a diascia (twin spur). I see no tendrils, but this vine twines around the stems of the sweet memory.

Any ideas?

Summer Hill Seeds sells seeds for this vine which looks similar, Fuzzy Bean Vine, Strophostyles helvola.

Wow, Ruth you got it!!! I guess my seed came as a gift from a bird or as a stow-away in a puchased plant container. I see this plant had medicinal uses by the american indians so that is also interesting information. Thanks so much, as I would never have figured this one out.

It is highly invasive, I have to pull them all the time, and never, NEVER let it seed.

Thanks, Carrie, I kind of figured it would be a thug.

Too bad it's that invasive. It's looks like such a pretty little flower.
