I just received a Anemones root cutting from England and wonder how to plant, care for it... instructions say to plant in full sun but they don't know our sun. i'm thinking semi shade , help me out here . has anyone had the tall anemones.....? thanks ahead for the info....molly

I plant anemones from corms. They are a winter flower for us. Think Pansies. Which anemone do you have? I've planted an. blanda which is very short but an. coronaria is only about a foot tall including the flower.

I have Japanese Anemones, a root cutting. these are app/4-5 ft tall and soo willowy..i want them to do as good here as they are in England.. big dream huh?
best I can figure is plant 'em out of the winter wind. I just worry about the heat here,,,well, we'll see...molly
