Natives of Texas is in Kerrville, I haven't been there but it's on my list to get out there some time.

If you are driving, there might be other options like Antique Rose Emporium along the way if you let us know which direction.

We are driving from the DFW area.

If you are taking I-35 to 1604 then Antique Rose Emporium is a good place.

If you take a different route it might not be convenient.

If you are going out 290, There is always the Natural gardener or Barton Springs nursery in Austin.

i do like theNatives of Texas. He has some Madrones and escarpment black cherries when I was there. And he had some wild Texas aristolochias.

Definitely Natives of Texas! It's down the road a ways, but worth the drive. Check out their demonstration garden and let them know what kind of plants you'd like to see. The plants in their main nursery area are NOT all they have...more in and by the greenhouse. If you can get to Medina, TX a bit further down the highway towards Bandera, there's Medina Garden Nursery, another fine native nursery. I really recommend both!

We didn't make it to ARE this trip, but plan to in the future.
We did go to Natives of Texas and loved it.
We got there Sat. morn. in time for a garden tour, then went back Sunday to do some shopping, since we didn't have enough time Saturday.
He didn't have some of the plants I wanted, so we'll be going back sometime.
