I'm not having any problem getting out of a post. A recent problem is the thread title does not change color to show it has been read. I inquired to the Gardenweb staff about it and this is what they said:

"Visited links are your web browser's way of being helpful, displaying a different color so as to let you know that you have clicked on that link before. Unfortunately, this isn't something GardenWeb controls. I would guess the changed colors likely disappear when you close your web browser, clearing the temporary cookie files that save your browsing info. You may be able to adjust your web settings to make sure they won't clear your cookies upon closing your browser."

I'm waiting for my son to come over and reconfigure my settings. He spoils me in that I don't have to figure out how to do it.

I haven't had a post change color after reading it for a while. After I read them and hit the back button, they are still in the blue, unread, color.

This is exactly what mine does.

Marti and Carrie, never had it happened before a few weeks ago either. It doesn't happen upon closing web page. There is no color change immediatly after reading on most threads, but not all. There is no rhyme or reason to which thread titles change color. Cookies are not automatically cleared, but only clear after I run a cache cleaner ... as far as I know.

Mine works fine. Which Browser are you using?

Jim, I just figured out there is no problem with a change in color of thread read with Firefox, but there is with Internet Explorer. Thanks for the tip.

I am having trouble clicking on the URL if someone has entered it at the bottom of the post. I have to multiple double click fast to get the Url to come up. It doesn't happen anywhere but here. Not my mouse Not other sites, just here. I have Safari. Maybe they are not talking with each other well. Any one else have this problem??

Well, the color change of threads that I've read got fixed. It's working now on Internet Explorer.

A few days ago every time I clicked on GW whether through IE or Firefox my computer froze and I'd have to manually turn it off and back on again. This happened only with GW. All other links, blogs, etc. worked.

I have decided this a problem with GW specifically as none of the other sites do this, but all the GW ones that I use do. Hopefully, they will get it fixed soone.,
