I had a pristine Monarch mama visit my garden about 2 weekends ago. I thought she was an escapee from the Southlake Town Centre butterfly exhibit. Monarch cats were on my milkweek and were huge and then disappeared-I hope they've spun a chrysalis somewhere and will emerge to continue the cyle

I put the bananas, brown sugar and dark ale through the blender yesterday, then poured it on a log, and had two gorgeous butterlies hanging around all afternoon, but haven't seen them today. Did see a hummingbird on my Giant Turks Cap though!

I planted a small stand of milkweed just for them this spring and have had no customers until now. They are laying eggs and hopefully the larvae will appear shortly.
