| Is this a good time to be applying mulch ? I am getting some new beds made. The guy who does my lawn said he can mulch the old beds as well. I did not mulch earlier this year but did a round of manure (early spring)and want to apply mulch if this is a good time. |

| As far as I know, anytime is a good time to mulch. Doing so now would help prevent erosion of topsoil from winter rains. |

| I apply mulch anytime I can get it! The only plants I have to watch when heavily mulched are tropical plants like plumbago and lemon yellow hardy hibiscus. If the plants have frozen back (some years they don't) and we have a wet rainy spring I pull the mulch back so the roots can warm. |

| I did !! I must put up a picture, will do it. Got my Garden arch and Climbing Pinkie in the ground too.. |
