Cardinal Climber or Cypress vine. 2 very different plants often confused. Even when you buy the seeds from the display at the store they are often mis named.

I've always grown the one that does not self seed. People have told me the one that self seeds comes up all over the place and is not easy to control.

I have grown the cypress vine, and it is, indeed, invasive. I have it still coming up in areas where it has not grown for at least five years.......impossible to keep from reseeding, but easy to pull when young.
