Black Diamond Blush Crape Myrtle

Are any of you growing the 'Blush' variety? I bought it and have a choice of two spots for it. When the tag says 10-12 ft tall, do you think it will grow beyond that? Thanks, Lou

Isn't the Black Diamond series rather new from J Berry? I think it would take a few years to grow to its full size.

We got some last fall to trial at the Quitman Arboretum, but they're not much past 5-6 feet so far.

I picked up a Blush Black Diamond from Lowes' sale table. I love the foliage color, but am having a hard time finding a full sun place for it. Does anyone know if it's subject to mildew?

Well, I looked up some links and several sources say it is mildew resistant. It looks like it will be a great substitute the the dark leaved plum trees which everybody was planting for awhile, but they didn't live very long.

I believe that is for 10 years of growth. It will still continue to grow after that.

Just got red one although I am not sure which one as I noticed there are two different reds.
