| On separate visits Shirley and I both noticed this interesting foliage on a plant at the Japanese Gardens in San Antonio.
Can anyone identify it?

| Acalypha wilkesiana forma circinata Name that plant! forum got it quickly. It's a tropical. |
Here is a link that might be useful: Name that plant
|
| Thanks Shirley! Looks like it may be too tender for us other than as a hot house plant. It probably grows well at the 'Japanese Tea Gardens', which at one time was called 'The Sunken Gardens', because the rocks on all sides hold the heat. |

| Really, really pretty. I had only seen "copper plants" in the orange/gold colors until I saw this variety at a local nursery a few years ago and was very tempted to buy one, but didn't want another tender plant to bring indoors over the winter. Molly |

| It's certainly very pretty. I'm with Molly, no more plants that need protection! |
