Pam. The beauty berry was a volunteer and right against the side walk.
The Reve D'or rose also out grew it's spot. My poor neighbor could not see to back out of his drive. So I will need to plant something that stays low.
In the neighborhood there is no hell strip. The sidewalk begins at the curb.

You can see how the walk is. The beauty berry was 5 ft tall and to the right of the sign.

I just love the pictures of beauty berry. Have decided I'm going to get one - just hope it survives up here. Our zone is really a 7a now that they have redone them. Any tips on growing it?

It would appreciate afternoon shade. Here the berries will get sunburned. They are easy to grow once established. I love them. But I feared a child might get hurt walking down the walk. I transplanted a smaller one a year ago with no problem.

I think I just sprayed a beauty berry with roundup, I thought it was a weed. I had no idea, I knew I did not plant it. Kathy are you coming to the plant swap? Barbra
