I'm going to redevelop a section of my parking strip, which was mostly killed off in the summer heat. Will put in some nice xeriscape stuff. But I think I should fumigate the ground (formerly St. Augustine and Bermuda) before developing the area.

I have a maybe 15-year old mostly full quart container of Vapam concentrate (Green Light, 32.7% sodium methyldithiocarbamate), but the instructions have faded on the back. I can download the MSDS on it, but I want instructions for use. I gather that the stuff is now not registered for purchase for home use, and I promise never to buy any more (and probably can't), but I'd like to use this stuff up.

I *think* it says that the proper dilution is 1:3, with 1 gallon/100 square feet) but I'm not sure. So, two questions.

(1) What's the proper dilution and coverage?

(2) Does the concentrate expire?

Anyone remember?

Actually, the MSDS implies that the stuff is "stable" for 2 years, but I figure it's worth trying anyway. At worst, it won't do anything.
