The one under the oak tree that you said looked kind of like a mum. It's Scabiosa columbaria - Butterfly Blue Pincushion Flower. The tag says it needs 6+ hours of direct sun, which is probably why it isn't doing that great for me.

This website has photos that match the foliage and gives some info about it. Also says to divide in the spring, so oops. If it doesn't make it, I'll give you more in the spring.
