Peppermint Lace is edged in white, so maybe that's it.
No way to be sure, but the white edges are what makes this one different.

Maybe someone else knows of other white edged ones.

Part of their back yard backs up to part of our side yard.
They have 4 Crape Myrtles against our fence.
They were planted by the previous owners and the current owners have never trimmed, watered or anything. I'm surprised they live thru the drought. Often the leaves look dried up.
With that being said, 3 of the crape myrtles are very tall and crowded together, with the parent of this one being shorter at maybe 14' tall and looks like it's being crowded out.
I have 4 or 5 volunteers on my side of the fence and I think maybe it's the roots coming over because I do water.
This is the "hedge" that the birds love.
Maybe I can get a better picture if it blooms again soon.

They do fine on their own with no one around. The nice thing about those volunteers when they are small can be dug up and placed anywhere you chose. I once tried to move one but the parent plant died but I ended up with many volunteers that I moved and they all did great in their new locations.
