To me there is nothing that restores hope more than spring bulbs coming up to declare an end to winter!

Thanks, Debby. There are nice spots of bloom but it's far from an integrated garden. I hope that some day I can have something that approaches Carrie's gardens.

Late last spring I bought the remainder of a case of paperwhites from a feed store (it was like 100 of them for less than $15, just to get them out of the manager's way). Their foliage is up, so I'm hoping that they'll bloom too. I had gone there to buy 7 to put in a pot and force, and for just a few dollars more I got a yard full!

Debby, Lin is far too kind, but I appreciate the kudos. And guess what, she is helpless when it comes to bulbs.....LOL> I can only imagine what her place will look like when she gets it established........it doesn't happen overnight, but always a work in progress. I have been over there, and she has a very good start.

Hi, my name is Lin, and I'm a bulbaholic.

Brent and Becky's Bulbs is having a half-price sale on bulbs that are not indoor bulbs (i.e. not paperwhites and not amaryllis). They have some great deals there and looks to be some good availability.

These bulbs will arrive just in time for planting in north/east Texas - between Thanksgiving and Christmas is the time I set mine out. I tried to get the last of the Color Blends in the ground yesterday, but the sun never came out and so it did not warm enough for me to enjoy planting - so that's what I'm doing today!
