I'm taking the opportunity to can poultry stock . Love this rain .

I was surprised to find four inches in my rain guage this morning. It's slowed down to a slow drizzel right now.

Katy, your mention of canning poultry stock reminds me it would a good day to make soup with the chicken stock in the freezer.

Rain? You lucky people! Sure hope we get some substantial amounts in the near future. Thankfully though, we have gotten a nice amount of rain this year compared to the previous 3 years. And, I won't complain too loudly if we get a good bit of snow this year - minus the wind, please.....

3 inches here. I am proudly wearing my new red paisley rubber boots to go out and plant a paper sack of Liatris punctatata. I was doing that at the beginning of the rain and found a flint scraper in a wash on a scree. We have a lot of flint on my hill. I guess I will find out if my boots have a leak in them. stones mysteriously appear in one boot. I am seeing the edge of THE CLOUD to my north.
