Well, I am certain we cannot stop it, but not exactly what I want over the Christmas holidays as most travel plans will have to be canceled. I was going to have all my family together this year for the first time in awhile.

Hoping for White Christmas!!!

Last year's Christmas was wonderful! It snowed big fluffy inches of snow and it was gone in a couple of days. I'm already taking this everlasting ice personally...and I have tons of tulips to get in the ground. Better get started rolling up the dead foliage right away before the Arctic circle of TX descends again. errrggghhhhh

I'm sorry Carrie that your travel plans will have to be cancelled. Weather is always such a crap shoot. Remember the week before Thanksgiving when we were supposed to get a winter storm? All flights from Little Rock to Dallas on Monday were delayed and my mom had to sit at the airport all day, but the stupid storm didn't materialize. She finally got here just before midnight instead of 2 pm.

Thanks, Pam................yes, air travel can be so frustrating. I have one daughter coming by air, the other one by car from Austin. I saw tonight where there may not be as much moisture as once thought............wouldn't it be wonderful if we get just the cold air and not the sleet, ice and snow????

It's January now and more artic fronts are coming through. I don't mind the cold weather - it's the wind that gets me. I can't ever put away my summer clothes. Warm one day and freezing the next.

Looks like a long, cold winter.............

Carrie, thanks for the weather link. It sounds as cold as I feel right now. My hands are so cold and stiff I can hardly type ... lol.

I keep saying I want to get where I don't have to cover plants with blankets, but just got in from doing it ... just one more year (maybe). Have to let some newer things develop better roots to withstand freezing. Also watered some herbacious plants as they withstand cold better if well watered, but not the cactus and agaves. They like it dry.

Y'all stay warm now, ya' heah? And crack the ice in the bird baths tomorrow for the birds.
