| Okay folks, sorry but I am getting cabin fever so I am posting this way too early to really think about.
Plant Swap WANTED:
Seeds from Meyer Lemon None of the Ninebark cuttings rooted last year, I am hoping someone (Brenda?) can get some cut before they set flower. Bringing? -
Weigela variegata
Strawberry Honeoye
Lots of other stuff, grasses, Daylilys etc, depending on what survives the winter. Those seed and plant catalogs tempting me terribly. -Rosalinda |
Follow-Up Postings:
|
| Rosalinda, If they survive I may have some young helleborus for you if the critgters don't eat them all before the swap. I too am getting cabin fever and dying to get outside to see what is still alive Penny |
|
| Thanks Penny, that would be great. What is it with the seed and plant catalogs? I have been getting stacks and stacks of them, as bad as the pre christmas deluge. I use them under mulch in my flower beds so they don't go to waste, but this is getting ridiculous. Why do these companies send out catalogs with the same stuff week after week? You would think folks who sell plants and garden supplies would have some consideration for trees, pollution etc. -Rosalinda |

| Nixon, I have a peach and a pink tgbi and a gorgeous lavender drumstick primrose. (that I originally got from Remy) I should have some lime hosta as well. I would love some dwarf merrybells, bloodroot, and any trillium. Rosalinda I would love a sambucus Sutherland gold and begonia taurus. Does anyone want any small hellebore seedlings? Mine seeded prolifically this year. |
|
| Thanks Brenda. I got a regular Brunnera from you last swap, but not Jack Frost. I keep the Cyperus in pot in a tub that I keep some water in, in my cool office building. I do hear they can be grown indoors like a regular house plant with plenty of water, but no standing water needed, but haven't tried it. Maybe I will have better luck with the cuttings this year. The Karl Rosenfeld sounds great also, if you can get some. I have a Taurus Rex for you, and hope I my Sutherland Gold survived the onslaught of the deer and rabbits. I am way way behind on my gardening as I am spending all my time working on the house. I hope I will get some time soon to start gathering stuff for the Swap. It have been having a very difficult and stressful spring. Hopefully by the end of April things will improve! -Rosalinda |
|
| Brenda, I'll take hellebore seedlings. I have a couple and I love them. Remy |

| Hi everybody. i'm really looking forward to this year's swap. I missed last year and regreted it. This Year I'm bringing some pink epimedium, Walkers Low Nepeta (I have eight from fall's division.),and creeping St John's Wort. There are also a couple of rose of sharon, a burning bush and a Roxanne perenial geranium. (only one). This year's tomato plants will include San Marzanos(a really terrific sauce tomato). Did I read that someone was looking for small veronica? I have one that's blooming right now and is a creeping variety. This spring has been so delightful with everything blooming on top of each other. Please tell me it's gonna last. |

| Just a quick post...I'm still madly weeding and mulching. Don't think I'm really gonna be ready this year! Anyhow, I've got millions of lupine seedlings. If any one wants some, please let me know as I can't possibly pot them all up. Some other stuff I've got... Barberry (seedlings) That's just a preliminary assessment. I probably have more. Lots of volunteers this year. I really don't know what I'm looking for. A couple of things that come to mind.. Flax (blue preferred but white is fine too...lost them both this winter) |

| Can't wait for the swap!!!! I am looking for some tall grasses to use as a border/wall to hide my unsightly firewood pile. Maybe some (if anyone has any to share): Maiden Grass I'd also like to try some: Joe Pye Weed Thanks much! |
|
| Tauna, I've got the rose saved for you. I also have forget-me-nots. Tara, Anyone, |
|
| Hi Everyone, Well this year has SUCKED so far and my gardens and plants have not been any better. Brenda I do have the Taurus Rex Begonia for you but the rabbits destroyed my Sutherland gold Sambucus. If I can get the little bit of it that is still alive to survive, maybe I can get some for you next year. I am not bringing too much this year, and I did not get any peonies dug up as I planned - sigh. In fact NOTHING I planned has worked out, and you will all be subjected to my tale of woe and misery. At least I have the swap to look forward to..... -Rosalinda |
|
| hi seems i have a huge amout of medium and tall columbine in many colors of pink and lavender, some red and purple, some with upright blooms and some with nodding blooms, let me know if there is any interest, thanks cathleen |
