WANTED: Sugar Maple Seedlings

Posted by bob442 NY (My Page) on

I am looking for Suagar Maple seedlings to use in a controlled greenhouse experiment. Somewhere around 4 to 6 inches would be great. Need by early spring so I can get them established. If someone could just point me to any place that I could obtain them that would be great. Maybe looking for 20-25 max. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Bob

RE: WANTED: Sugar Maple Seedlings

Check your county's Soil and Water consdervation program. Ours (Genesee) sells them for less than $1 apiece, for that quantity. I'm sure they're growing in the woods here, but until they leaf out, I can't tell what they are. And at that size, anything you dig up, you can't tell if it's sugar maple or black maple, etc.
