| Are you ready for that blast of air from Siberia? I'm going to go food shopping today so I don't have to go out tomorrow or the next day when the temperature is below zero.

Yikes it's cold, the coldest day in my neck of the woods in two years. It was -3 at the airport in Binghamton, near us, with a wind chill of -20. I did the groceries yesterday, and wish I didn't have to go out today. We had a light coating of snow, but it's not enough to insulate my plants to my liking. Laurel

Well I am thinking spring thaw or should I say I am wishing for spring thaw! Even the squirrels didn't come down out of the tree for their peanut butter toast until almost noon today. Penny

Well, I left my new home in Maine at around a balmy 0 degrees to arrive here at my other home in Saranac Lake at minus 24 degrees. I could feel it getting colder in the car almost as soon as I crossed the Champlain bridge into NY. I like winter, but anything below minus 20 is starting to get chilly. Wayne

Very cold, and no let up in sight . . . sigh. The beginning of the winter was so mild, but I had to get ready for Christmas. Now I'm ready to take advantage of mild weather, but we aren't having any. If it gets above freezing, I can move rocks.

Well, the ice fishermen on Lake Champlain are pleased with the weather, but I'm trying to decide which is better -what we have now or the blistering heat of last summer. I think I like Spring and Fall best.Too bad they are so short. Amaqan,I stay away from Ellenburg.Your weather verges on Arctic. Nancy
