| I've inherited a <1/4 acre garden north of Rome (Oneida Cty). The garden was well tended, but is in need of organic matter.
Anyone know of a good source for bulk compost (~20 yrd^3) in upstate NY? I know of the Oneida-Herkimer yard waste compost, but am leery after the pyrethroid fiasco in CA last year. Thanks in advance. |

| I don't recommend the compost at the City of Albany, Dept. of General Svcs. facility. I had a huge infestation of slugs one year. Not entirely sure if it was solely due to the compost, but I steer clear from it. Also, its sorta dirty. I always feel like I'm going to find a finger in it. :) |
