Hi! Phyl here in Baldwinsville, just outside Syracuse. I just wondered if anyone near me wintersows their flowers?
I'm trying AGAIN this year...I'm determined, thanks to the wintersowing forum! I'd love to hear from you! Phyl

Phyl I don't think I am near you but I think lblack is and she posts here also. Several of us do winter sow. Hang in there. It will work once you figure out what is best for your area.

I am a bit north of you in St. Lawrence County & have had pretty good luck with wintersowing on a small scale.

Yes, I wintersow too. I'm down near Binghamton. Winter sowing has worked VERY well for me for the past couple years - I'm on my third year now.

Nice to hear from you all! Thanks for the encouragement. Diane, we used to live in the Potsdam/Canton area...are you anywhere near there? I know that St. Lawrence County is BIG. I'm going to start again this afternoon after church. Phyl

I did last year for the first time with good results. I just did some last week.

I use big flower box liners. The large size means I don't have to water much.
