hardy, disease-resistant roses

In looking for very winter hardy, disease resistant roses, I've decided to try some of the Parkland, Explorer and Buck roses. Any feedback on any of the following before I order? I won't be ordering all of them, but I'm stil winnowing the list. I've never had any of these series of roses.

Prairie Star (Buck)

Country Dancer (Buck)

Hawkeye Belle (Buck)

Lambert Closse (Explorer)

Morden Centennial or Morden Ruby (Both Parkland)

Champlain (Explorer)

Prairie Joy (Parkland)

Henry Hudson (Explorer rugosa)

Also, is Quadra (Explorer) as a climber of sufficient height for a trellis? What about Seafoam, will it climb with help?

Got a good, well-blooming climber you'd recommend that doesn't go to blackspot at the drop of a hat? It's for the south side of my house, a new arch shaped trellis over the gate. Should I try something more thornless, like Zepherine Drouhin? I've got one of those that's healthy as a horse along the fence near the neighbor's way-too-big weeping willow, and it does great.

Finally, thoughts on Bourbon roses? I rather like the look of Boule de Neige, but I don't know how hardy it is or whether it will be a thorn in my side all summer.
