Newbie gardener here.

Would Mountain Laurel make a good screening/privacy border? I'm looking for an evergreen shrub that does well in the shade. I'm thinking of putting it at the rear of our yard in a garden bed against our chainlink fence. We have a city lot and the back of our lot abuts the side of a neighbor's yard & house. We like the neighbors and aren't trying to build a fortress but would like a little screening from them.
