Ratibida (Mexican hat)
Catananche
.............. do they bloom the first year from a winter sowing?

Well.. I have done some research on the internet... NO for Mexican Hat, YES for Catananche (hopefully, anyway). I will then transplant my catananche seedlings in the flower bed tomorrow.

Hi Anne Marie,
I WS Mexican Hat last year and it bloomed. I also heard that it readily re-seeds, although I haven't seen any come up yet. Barb

Oh well... Barb, thank you! This is a nice surprise. I will transplant some Mexican Hat (ratibida) today!!
