Just a reminder

Hi everyone,

I hope you are all enjoying spring. I just want to remind you that the annual plant sales by local garden clubs will be starting within a week or so . This is a good way to donate the extra divided perennials you have or to find unique plants for your garden. These are usually listed in the daily newspapers and weekly area newspapers.

Also the garden tours will begin this month too and again listed in the area papers.

I have thoroughly enjoyed both these events and have gotten great ideas from the tours and filled my garden with reasonably priced plants from the sales. Kareen

Hi Kareen - Are you aware of any in the Saratoga Springs area? I've looked online, but haven't found anything. We get the Times Union, but I haven't seen anything there either. Maybe I'm having a Sr. Moment??!!

Good to hear from you . No I am not aware of any up there but if I hear of any I will let you know. Is there a weekly paper like the Advertiser or Pennysaver? Sometimes the local ones are published in those. There is a garden club in Saratoga called the Heritage Garden Club( a federated club) and I know they are doing a flower show in June. They may be more of a club in to flower arranging than a hands on in the dirt club, but I don't know that for sure. I found this # 518-584-0027 where the add was for the flower show, maybe they can put you in contact with a member .Otherwise here is a link for other local federated garden clubs.Good Luck, Kareen
