What are your favorite CNY nurseries?

I'm in Chittenango, and work in Syracuse.

My all-time favorite is Ballantyne Gardens, on Hopkins Road - Tim and Lisa Ballantyne are extremely knowledgeable and welcoming, and their nursery and greenhouse are small and lovely and have lots of interesting and unique things. They have a nice selection of pond plants and supplies, a special interest of mine.

Another favorite is Debrucque Greenhouses, on New Boston Road in Canastota. They have a big operation with lots of unusual things.

How about you - any particular favorites?

Hi there! I really love Hafner's in North Syracuse. I also love Dickman's in Auburn. Another smaller places I like to go Dave's Veggies; in Homer Sorbello's Produce in Chittenango (there's another one in Jordan /Elbridge area - right on the main drag (Rt 5) but I can't remember the name of it). A little farther away, Ontario Orchards in Oswego, NY.
