Every time I see a picture I covet. I was thinking of plunking it into a sand bed.

Yes, I've looked it up on google and found a few images. I don't know it's common name. I've never seen it growing but I just happen to like lots of different members of the mint family and I figure, ooh, goody, another mint... really like the color, that sort of dusty pink.

Greetings! I found this after a quick search. Looks as if it will grow here no problem:


Caucasian Germander

Scientific Name: Teucrium hyrcanicum
Common Name: Caucasian Germander
Other Common Names:
Plant Type: Perennial
Where To Plant: Full Sun to Partly Shady
Soil Types: Average
Zones (See US Zone map): 4-9
Germination: Easy
Number of Seeds Per Pack: 100
Uses: Ornamental
Notes: Spikes of red to purple flowers. Good in rock garden.

TEUCRIUM HYRCANICUM Good for gout. Quits upset stomach.

Price: $2.50/pkt
