Looking for a particular spiraea! Can you help me?!

Hi all!

I have exhausted my local resources. My boss admired a shrub near our neighborhood school. I have identified it as Spiraea x Cinerea Grefsheim, alternately sold under the name of "First Snow."

I am having trouble locating a nursery selling this shrub in Central New York! I would love to be able to pick one up! As a last resort, I will order one through the mail, but would really like to support a NY nursery.

Does anyone have an idea where it is available! I'm willing to travel for it (any excuse to visit a new nursery!)

Hi Lois,
Try calling Grandpa's Nursery in Sodus first. If they don't have it, check Ontario Orchards in Oswego, then Dickman Farms in Auburn.
This is my go to list for woodies. It's seldom that grandpa's doesn't have whatever I'm searching for, and they're very reasonable.

Thanks, Starina! I will try Grandpa's and Ontario Orchards...Dickman Farms didn't carry it! I have a couple of Vermont nurseries listing it, so after phone calls there also, a road trip might be in order... Want plant, will travel!!! Lois

"Want plant, will travel!!!" You're a woman after my own heart, lol! Another place to check is Wayside in Macedon. If they have them, they're a really fun place to check out.
NOT related to the Wayside that sends catalogs and crappy plants.

Try "Wild things plant rescue nursery "online , she is near Albany NY but does ship . Hope you find it . Kareen
