Is it me or have the gnats reared their ugly heads with wreckless abandon lately ??!!! They are terrible in my neck of the woods and have just started the past week or two. Any ideas what brings them out now and not before ??

Blackie

Hi Blackie,
I can't say I've noticed more than usual but I have not been out much in this humidity and high temps.
They do hang out in moist areas so this weather would be perfect for them. Here is a link I found ..hope it helps answer your questions. I believe your local cooperative extension would also be able to send you a fact sheet on them. Kareen
