blueberries

Hi,

I recently planted a blueberry bush in my backyard. I've later learned you need to be careful with blueberries cuz they attract worms and larve. Now I'm paranoid to eat my berries. Anyone know how to detect this or what to do if it happens. The main reason I wanted blueberries is because they are loaded with pesticides and the organic are so expensive. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I bought 4 small bushes this spring and put them in large containers. I have already lost the two smallest ones but the other two seem to be doing well ... at least for now. I had not heard about the problem you mentioned so I am no help. I know they need soil that is highly ammended with peat which is one reason mine are still in containers. I will have to get them planted out before winter though. Sorry no help here.
