| Hi folks,
I have been stuck in the city (downstate) for 3 weeks and am disheartened by the Natl Weather Service website reports for the local area (Northern Delaware Co.), which indicates a serious lack of rainfall and very high temps there. Sometimes, however, the National Weather Service reports, which come out of Binghampton (a ways away) are not accurate for my neck of the woods, and so I am soliciting informal "reports" from people in the Stamford/Delhi/Kortright/Oneonta area of upstate NY to find out if things are as dire as I suspect. I am imagining my vegetable garden in flames at this point and the rest of the garden a desert. Has there been any significant rainfall in this area in the past 2 weeks? I'd welcome any reports. Helplessly in NYC,

| Hi - new here. I am up a little further than you - by Roscoe. Sorry to say that as of Saturday, the 30th, there was nothing substanial. We did have some sprinkles here & there, though. I don't know if it was enough for a vegetable garden. However, the news said that last PM, some strong storms came through the entire area. I'm back on Long Island for a a few days now. I am in the same boat as you since I have just planted 15 new spruce trees and completely redid our property with new flowers and shrubs, etc. Good Luck, Debbie |
