I stopped at the Home Depot here in Penfield (just east of Rochester) to stock up on grout for my bathroom tiling project -- and they have roses on sale for $2! I was really tempted but managed not to buy any. Several look pretty worse for the wear, but there were some healthy specimens that looked like they have lots of potential. There were a few in pink pots that weren't hardy -- I don't think they should sell those! -- so watch out.

Anyway, just wanted to share in case anyone has a need for a rose or 6. I just don't have room where my husband wouldn't get totally mangled by the thorns when mowing. Oh well!
