I have what I'm pretty sure is a daylily. It's dark red, with just a teeny bit of golden yellow at the very bottom of the throat. The petals are slender (not ruffled at all) and seem to be double fan. The leaves look like the familiar hemerocallis, although it carries its blooms a bit higher than some.

So why has it been blooming non-stop since early July?

I walked out today and saw three blooms in varying states (two opening, I think, and one that had bloomed yesterday), plus a few more buds.

Any thoughts?

I think I may have received this at the swap at Tara's either last year or 2004. If it sounds familiar, let me know. I'll try to get a picture.
