Mine is very happy in mostly shade.

My experience with shade plants like hosta, corydalis, etc. says that although they may "live" in full sun, they do not thrive and never look good.

Keep it in the shade.b

I have mine in partial shade and it is NOT so happy. I saw some over at the Farmer's Museum in Cooperstown thriving in full sun. Perhaps it is the soil and not the sun exposure, but my other partial shade plants are doing quite happily there.

I had mine in a full sun area and it was wilted all the time. I moved it to partial/mostly sun and it is taking over the bed so it must be happy.

Thank you all. I kind of compromised. I planted mine near 2 copper King Hibiscus. The Jacob's Ladder gets morning sun, but filtered sun at best in the afternoon and evening.

When I bouth it, it was a little unhealthy--leaves were a little yellow. Since then, it has put out 3 or 4 dozen new leaves that are a very healthy green with white edging.

Thank you so much everyone for your suggestions. My Jacob's Ladder seems to love it's new home.

The test though will be in early spring though, before the Hibiscus break ground and can block the afternoon/evening sun. But so far, so good.
