Just in case anyone is interested, there was an article in the Thursday August 4th edition of the Times Union regarding opportunities to plan & maintain garden plots in Albany's Washington Park. The article is titled "Washington Park in need of green thumbs

Conservancy seeks proposals from public to plant Albany's flowerbeds next summer to be part of festival".

It is a beautiful park and this is such a good idea, I hope folks jump at the chance. This would be a great project for a group of gardening friends or garden club. If anyone from the board gets involved please keep up posted .I am already involved in the creation of a new demonstration garden for Rensselaer County Cornell Cooperative Extension so at the moment I won't fill my plate with any more. Kareen
