Buffalo-Niagara Tomato TasteFest Invite

Hi All,
The annual party will be held Sat. Sept. 5, 2009 on Grand Island, NY. This is a harvest party for all growers of tomatoes. If your harvest is less than spectacular this year, don't worry, as always, it is the gathering of gardeners that is more important! We have fun contests and great prizes, yummy food too. If you need to bring the kiddies along, that is fine. It is a family friendly party.

PS I tried to send an invite to everyone who has attended or expressed interest in the past. If you didn't get an invite, it was totally inadvertent on my part. This list is getting longer and my brain cells are getting weaker, lol. |

| I hope you get a good turn out again this year Remy. I have been having some pretty good luck with maters this year even though I only planted two and the weather hasn't been that great. The Early Girl (I think) that I purchased has been spitting out tomatoes for several weeks now and the one I got at our plant swap (don't remember which one it is but think it might be one of yours) is giving me some whoppers right now. Even the one patio that I bought at the farmers market and left in a pot all season has done well inspite of drying out a few times. OH Yes I also had one reseeder from last year's plants I think it might be the black tomato but not sure. It was only 12 inches tall and has tomatos on it. It seemed to have popped up over night in my hummer garden. Penny |

Penny,
Good to hear you had some luck this year! My plants have been pumping out tomatoes. I've made a few big pots of sauce already. It would be great to see you at the party. Your copilot is going to make an appearance : )
