I haven't found a way to keep skunks away. My neighbor's dog across the road got hit last year. I believe she used the tomato juice bath on the dog but it took two or three soakings.

Dish soap and peroxide seemed to work best for my doggies.

Skunks no longer dig in my lawn - I do one application of GrubEx in spring which kills the Skunks food of grubs.
