I live in Central NY we had no frost yet...My dahlia just start blooming, this summer was crazy hot no rain or too much rain and cold.... everything grew well except my Dahlias, I hope next year will have better weather, we can't complain , look what is going on over the glob..... disaster after disaster we are lucky I will take the snow over the water.....

My dahlias just started blooming as well! I thought those buds would never open. But they seem to be enjoying the cooler temps. My coreopsis is putting on another show, and the butterfly bush, snaps, cosmos, and bachelors buttons are still going strong.

Guess we'll have to see how things fare this spring.

I spent a pleasant hour or so planting tulips, asiatic lilies, a peony, and some daylilies this afternoon. Dreams of spring already, with garden clean-up still in progress. I'm counting my blessings, and praying for those affected by natural distasters recently - so many tragedies, so many hurting people. I am NOT complaining about a rainy week in Upstate NY ever again!
