Another storm heading to WNY

| I was watching the local weather and I guess we are in for another storm this week-end with winds possibly reaching 50 mph in some areas and rain and snow mix. So get ready folks! We could lose more tree limbs and power again. |

Sigh . . . . I was finally going to go out there and dig up my cannas, etc. But not in that weather! |

I was going to do the same thing. In fact I was going to ask if anyone had already dug their cannas up yet. Penny |

| Well I just came in from digging up two cannas which is all I could do in the swamp they were in. I had to just leave them on the grass as they are just sopping wet and muddy. My whole yard is still saturated and can't handle another drop of water. The rest of the cannas in the side bed will just have to wait and hopefully I will be able to get them before they are dammaged. Only the leaves were damaged by the freeze night before last so maybe I still have plenty of time and a few warm dry days would sure help...wishful thinking. Penny |

| Hopefully enough leaves fell from the last storm such that they won't part of the problem if we have similar conditions. I'm hoping that enough wind will precede the precipitation to knock off more leaves, but not be bad enough to cause more power lines to be downed. Generators are selling like hotcakes again! Who'd a believed we WNY'ers would be nervous about a snow storm? |

| I got all mine dug on Columbus Day weekend which i think was our only nice weekend this fall, well i do have one huge clay pot filled and they just aren't budging so Im hoping to get that one done before the winter...all the rest are in boxes ready for the basement...the rest of the garden is a mess and may just leave it for the Spring...just frustrated with this crazy weather. |
