PS As I type I am watching a beautiful Red-bellied Woodpecker having part of his Thanksgiving feast at the suet feeder!

Happy Thanksgiving, everyone! We had a great time with my family yesterday.

At home I enjoyed watching female gold finches snack at our nyjer seed feeder, and crowds of cardinals, tufted titmice, juncos, sparrows, chickadees, bluejays and mourning doves around our other feeder. I left out a squash for the squirrels, which they've enjoyed down to the rind.
