place to buy descent house plants north of slc

| Just wondering if anyone has any sources. I don't do the lowe's thing because they charge for size of pot not the plant in it. They usually have the cheaper plants, but I'm looking for some more unusual house plants. I live in Ogden, venture to Logan more often than I do SLC. I see a few places in the phone book that say they have house plants but will probably have the same fare as Lowe's when it comes down to it! |

| Try J&L Garden Center in Layton. That place is HUGE and they seem to have everything. I even venture UP there from SLC (even though I have lots of good choices locally) because of their great selection. I have also found their prices on landscape plants to be quite good. I was in the market for some conifers last spring and found that their RETAIL prices are not much more than WHOLESALE prices down here in SLC. |

| +1 on J&L. There's another nice place in Bountiful called J&J. It's smaller, but they have very helpful and knowledgeable people working there. |
