Crabgrass, dandylions, cheeseweed, bindweed, these are common names but all are lawn pests. the only organic earth friendly way to control them is by hand removing them, A good healthy lawn will chock some of them out. Things like weed and feed work well gets most broad leaf plants and there is a crabgrass control as well. A good thick healthy lawn is the best defense against weeds. I live in central utah we have the same pesty weeds here. I weed and feed in the spring and hand remove as many as I can throughout the summer.

Corn Gluten Meal is an organic "pre" emergent and fertilizer. It can be found at Steve Regan in Murray. You can check to see if IFA in Draper carries it, they didn't carry it last year. It won't do anything for the weeds that are already growing, best to pull those before they set seed. Can't do anything to get rid of the Bindweed, unless someone has some secret they will share on getting rid of the nasty beast.
