 o
best planting time for annuals

I moved into my house last year in July and planted some annuals in the front yard. They promptly died from heat stroke! So that is obviously too late in the summer. :-) I understand not to plant before Mother's Day, but when is the last reasonable time to put in flowers. I'm late getting my beds ready so I'm trying to plan accordingly.

Thanks, tonya

RE: best planting time for annuals

You can plant annuals almost any time after the last frost depending on the variety and exposure. I would recommend working with a nursery in selecting varieties suited for the specific location you want to plant.
