Hi, I'm in SL, just curious if anyone has grown a moonflower vine in this area, if it does well, where to get seeds, etc.
Thanks! |

| Moonflower is such a big name! Are you talking about Datura metaloides or perhaps an Asian climing bean? bob in sanpete |

| One plant that is called a moonflower is also known as jimson weed and is toxic and/or hallucinogenic. It grows like crazy and once it establishes comes back every year. |

| I think that you probably mean Ipomoea alba and it seems to do well in South Jordan. It's in the morning glory family and would be considered an annual here. That's good to know because other morning glory comes back and can be a bother. Also, don't confuse the Ipomoea or Morning Glory flower with bindweed (Convolvus arvensis,) that we all know about. I haven't grown Moonflower myself, but have seen it around my neighborhood. It's quite unusual and fun to see growing! |
