| First, I am new to gardening so I apologize if I do not use the correct terminology. I have a tree about 10 years old. The trunk is dark brown, it usually blooms small pink flowers that turn into deep red (almost purple) leaves. Last year only half of the leaves bloomed and this year we have no leaves. Why would it stop blooming and what can I do to fix the problem? Thank you! |

| If your tree ever leafed out last year and is this year I would suggest cutting a small piece of branch with leaves (and flowers if it has any) and taking it to your local extension service - http://www.csrees.usda.gov/Extension/index.html They can identify the tree and possibly the problem. Without more information it would be hard for me to determine what is going on. If there are no leaves then I can't imagine that it would still be alive. |
