You could probably get potatoes if you plant now but I don't know where you would get the sets. Most places are out.

the pioneers did it on the 24 o july and got potatoes. some potatoes have shorter time to harvest. some are as long as 110 days.

i am not offering to sell you potato starts but rather to give them to you.

Just FYI, you can take potatoes that you buy from the store and wash them thoroughly to get the "sprout retarding chemical" off and then cut them into pieces making sure there is at least one eye on each piece. Obviously you will probably have a lower germination rate, but it can be done in a pinch.
