What's eating my tomatoes!?

I have a garden in Washington, Utah and for weeks I have been losing a tomato here and there every day or so. At first they were just green ones, but as SOON as one started to ripen it would vanish. Ripped off the vine completely, or half-eaten and discarded on the ground. It is not tomato worms, I watch for those closely. I have squirrels (two to be precise) who nest behind our house and have as yet been completely unsuccessful at killing/trapping/poisoning or in any other way stopping them. I put a net around my tomatoes but I am STILL losing a tomato here or there every day or so and still always the orange ones!!! I caught a fat lizard trapped in my net the other day and laid him to rest--sad to report the next day ANOTHER tomato had been taken! I am at my wit's end and am not convinced the squirrels are sneaking through my net--I am SURE they would cause at least a visual disturbance to the net or more likely get caught in it. Any advice/suggestions is greatly appreciated!!
