Seeds I have
| | |
Posted by dereks 6 Utah (My Page) on Thu, Sep 20, 07 at 12:57
Penstemon barbatus 'scarlet bugler' 4 to 5 feet tall
Penstemon 'smallii' About 18 inches tall. Native to the eastern states but does very well here.
I will soon have seeds of an ornamental grass called
Calamagrostis 'brachytricha'
These plants are growing in sandy soil with no amendments. 'Smallii' was amended with a little compost.
If anyone is interested, I will get the seeds to you. If no response, I will throw them away.
Thanks, hope everyone had a great summer. |

| Hey Derek, I could use some Penstemon 'smallii' seeds, and a few of the Calamagrostis, too. Not too many -- maybe 10 seeds of each, if they have a good germination rate. I think I have your email address, so I'll send you my address that way. How are the Caryopteris plants doing that I gave you? |

| Steve, the Caryopteris plants are doing great. They are even blooming. I'll get some 'smallii' seeds sent to you. I really don't know how they will germinate for you so I will send a little extra. I forgot to mention in my original post that the penstemon seeds need a period of cold before they germinate. They are great for winter sowing. The Calamagrostis seeds should be ready about November. |
